To how many bookmarking sites is RSS Bookmarker able to bookmark?

Good question! Our objective is for RSS Bookmarker to bookmark to over 30 bookmarking sites. However the exact number is a moving target. Why? Because most bookmarking sites are updating their login/posting process on a regular basis. Also, new bookmarking sites are coming online, while older ones are going off line. And keeping up with these changes is a hard (coding and testing) work! Because of this ongoing process, it may happen that RSS Bookmarker is unable to post to several bookmarking sites listed in our plugin. This is why we try to update the RSS Bookmarker code on a regular basis. We cannot however guarantee that, at any point in time all the bookmarking sites listed in our documentation and/or our website will have a ‘working’ status. There could be and there will be some posting errors. While we use reasonable efforts to update the list of bookmarking sites, we are not committed to a minimum number of bookmarking sites and/or to any specific bookmarking sites. You are welcome to signal to us any such posting errors you may encounter when using RSS Bookmarker.

What’s the difference between RSS Bookmarker and Auto Social Poster?

RSS Bookmarker and Auto Social Poster are both social bookmarking submitter. As such, they share the same ‘bookmarking technology’, i.e. they support the same BM sites. There are two major differences. First difference is that RSS Bookmarker is a script whereas Auto Social Bookmarker is WordPress or a Joomla plugin. Second difference is that RSS Bookmarking will bookmark ANY website that has an RSS feed, whereas Auto Social Poster focuses on bookmarking WordPress posts or Joomla articles.

Here are upgrade instructions:

1. Make a back up of your existing RSSB install, including your RSSB database
2. Make sure you keep a copy of your existing config.php file
3. Download the new zip file from your client account and unzip it
4. Copy all the new files into your existing RSSB folder
5. Remove your ‘new’ config.php file from the RSSB folder
6. Copy back your ‘old’ config.php file into your RSSB folder
